2011 “Salute to Excellence in Education” Awards

The Salute to Excellence in Education committee will be recognizing “educators” and "students". An "educator" nominee must be a teacher, administrator, counselor, or support staff that has rendered excellent service in the field of education for 10 or more years. A "student" nominee, must be a graduating 8th grader or a high school senior in the current academic year that has displayed excellence in academics and character. Upon careful selection, "Salute in Excellence in Education" awards will be given during the Annual Salute to Excellence in Education Awards Program in November. Middle School awardees will be honored with an award and a scholarship toward high school student fees; High school awardees will be honored with an award and a college book scholarship. Educators will be honored with an award and an educational gift that will benefit the continuation of their acedemic of their academic careers.

Please provide a one-page description of any supporting information about why this individual should be nominated (i.e. explain why you feel this person should be awarded). Providing examples of accomplishments relating to the award is important. We encourage you to provide us with as much information as possible about why this person should receive the “Salute to Excellence in Education” Award. The "Early Bird" deadline for this form and the one-page description is December, 15 2010. The final deadline is January 15, 2011.  We will celebrate the honorees during our Salute to Excellence in Education Awards Banquet on May 7, 2011. (“Early Bird” nominators receive a 10% discount off of banquet ticket price)

Please note: All nominees will be recognized and given certificates, but only the top ten nominees will be honored with the awards.
